80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus

In 2024 it will be 80 years since the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders 

2024 is marked as a landmark date – the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, 

2025 is the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. 

On October 5, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 316 “On the preparation and holding of festive events.” 

The document was adopted in order to coordinate the activities of government agencies and organizations, public associations in preparing and holding at a high organizational level the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. 

The decree created and approved the composition of the Republican Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration. It will be headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. 

The Regulations on the Republican Organizing Committee and the plan for preparing and holding events were also approved.
